ADA and Internet Hearing

Please redistribute this letter as appropriate.

Many have asked what they could do with regard to the upcoming hearing on ADA
and the Internet by the U.S. House Subcommittee on the Constitution. Again,
for
those in the DC area, attending the hearing on Wednesday, February 9, at 1:00
in room 2237 of the Rayburn HOuse Office Building would be great.

The rest of us should consider quickly getting letters (via fax and email)
into
the subcommittee, particularly Congressman Mel Watt.

Letters can be addressed to Representative Watt and sent to Anthony Fox who is
handling the issue for the Congressman. Letters are needed by tomorrow
afternoon, Tuesday, February 8.

Letters should be short and to the point. The focus should be the
importance of
the Internet to individuals with disabilities, the need for accessibility and
the value you place on it. Some examples of your use of the Internet or
barriers you have faced in using the Internet would be helpful.

Mr. Watt's address is:
The Honorable Mel Watt
1230 Longworth H.O.B.
Washington, DC 202153312

Mr. Fox's contact information for fax or email is as follows
fax: 202 225 7680
email: anthonyf@mail.house.gov
